Tax Accountant

This position is for Eshel, Aminov & Partners LLP Hauppage, New York office

Currently looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to fill an opening with a company located in New York City. Interested candidates should have 5+ years of accounting experience and working knowledge of Excel and Quickbooks and Lacerte


  • Prepare and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

  • Prepare sales tax, federal and state income tax returns for individual and corporations;

  • Perform complex tax research;

  • Prepare research memoranda, written correspondence and guidance, and other documents for submission to the IRS or other tax authorities;

  • Prepare tax planning and estimates and become involved in planning for more complex clients;

  • Analyze IRS notices and draft responses;

  • Contribute to the client service team by producing quality work with quick turnaround and attentive service;

  • Establish good working relationships with all partners and staff members.


Job Requirements:


  • Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 5+ years’ experience accounting

  • 3 years of Tax Accounting

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong time and project management skills

  • Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Working knowledge of Excel and Quickbooks and Lacerte

  • Experience working in a CPA firm is a must

  • Knowledge of Hebrew is a plus
